The Truckle & Chuckle Tour - dates 23–26 April 2027
If you enjoy great driving roads, good company, stunning scenery and the occasional cheese-related diversion, then pop this one in your diary!

Friday 23 April
We'll gather in the charming market town of Ross-on-Wye, with the first night's stay at the Royal Hotel overlooking the River Wye. Arrive at your leisure, settle in, and enjoy a relaxed evening before the adventure begins.

Saturday 24 April
After breakfast, we head north to our first stop – the wonderfully aromatic Monkland Cheese Dairy near Leominster. Whether you're a cheese connoisseur or simply enjoy a good truckle, this is a great way to start the day.
From there we'll cross into Wales and enjoy some beautiful driving roads on our way to Llanwrtyd Wells and our second overnight stop at the famous Neuadd Arms Hotel.
Many will remember our stay here in 2021, including the legendary occasion when poor Brian found himself allocated the infamous Pink Room! The hotel has since undergone extensive refurbishment under new ownership and is receiving excellent reviews, making it an ideal base for the night.

Sunday 25 April
Following breakfast, we tackle what many consider one of Britain's finest driving roads – The Devil's Staircase.
This spectacular route through the Abergwesyn Pass takes us over stone bridges, through forests, past reservoirs and across some of the most breathtaking scenery in Wales. We'll stop at Llyn Brianne Dam, a perfect spot for photographs, refreshments and, of course, ice cream.
Continuing west through more magnificent countryside, we'll arrive at Cardigan to visit the fascinating Museum of Internal Fire, home to one of the world's finest collections of working stationary engines.
Our final overnight stay will be at the Flambards Hotel, which many of us have enjoyed before and happily recommend. After a full day behind the wheel, you can either relax with dinner at the hotel or venture into town for fish and chips by the sea.

Nine rooms have been pre-booked for all three nights.
Total cost: £304 per person
(Includes accommodation and breakfast at two of the three hotels.)
