Frequently Asked Questions

Picture

Before asking a question, please check to see if the answer is below. If not, you can email your question to the Admin team here.

Q: I don't own a classic - will I be welcome in my modern/foreign motor?
A: Of course! All members are welcome but please note the parking will be segregated (Brits pre-85 in one group, everything else in the other) to ensure the best viewing experience.

Q: Can I reserve a space at your events?
A: No - except for Disabled Parking, which can be reserved (see next Question); all other spaces are allocated on a, "First come, first served" basis

Q: Is there Disabled Parking available?
A: Yes. The event organiser will make disabled parking available to whoever requires it; please pre book before the day

Q: Can I bring my dog(s) with me?
A: Yes. Most venues only allow guide or assistance dogs inside, so making arrangements with a fellow member to care for your dog while you tour the museum would be sensible

Q: Is there camping available?
A: This varies according to the venue. With most camp sites requiring non refundable deposits before arrival, this is something best arranged by the individual; Google is an excellent way to find the nearest camp sites to any venue with on line reviews.

Q: How much money does the group make from events and what happens to it?
A: We are strictly a non-profit organisation. The group is run entirely by volunteers, all money taken on event days goes directly to the venue. In the case of Coventry and Gaydon which are pre paid Rallies the full cost of the rally is returned to the individual Admin member who paid for it and any extra money raised from the parking fee's is donated to charity.

The organising Admin member accepts the risk that the event may not " break even " and they will be left to carry the balance of payment

Q: Where can I find more details about individual events?
A: The "Group Events" page of this web site lists all up coming group shows and events. Full details of dates, start and finish times, addresses, satnav codes and phone numbers is provided

Q: I help run a car club. Can we join your Events?
A: We welcome carefully selected other groups to join our Events on a strictly "by invitation only" basis and subject to availability - our own members will be given priority for the available display slots. Please contact Admin in the first instance if your group is interested in attending any of our Events.

Q: Will there be lots of cake available on the day?
A: Most definitely!
